This webinar educates the public on the acute postpartum rehab tools that measure the benefit of offering occupational and physical therapy on the maternity unit after childbirth. Participants will learn how to use a self-assessment tool that enables them to monitor their vital signs and response to functional activity earlier in their postpartum recovery. Through this 3-part series, the audience will gain insight into the role of acute postpartum rehab, explore early interventions that improve maternal health outcomes, and understand the importance of using their individual data to communicate more effectively with their care team. The goal is to empower maternal health patients and their families with knowledge to advocate for comprehensive care during their hospital stay that includes acute postpartum rehab for a smoother recovery.
