  • Registration Closed

PLEASE NOTE: THIS WEBINAR WILL NOT BE RECORDED. THIS WILL BE A LIVE EVENT ONLY.

Interprofessional collaboration is essential for optimizing patient outcomes, particularly in acute care settings where teamwork is critical. But how can you intentionally strengthen interprofessional collaboration in your daily practice? This session will provide a foundation for understanding different team structures, guide you in recognizing interprofessional practices you may already be engaging in, and help you build from there. Through interactive discussions, self-assessment, and real-world examples, participants will explore ways to enhance their interprofessional identity and apply key competencies to improve teamwork and patient care. Whether you’re new to interprofessional collaboration or looking to refine your approach, this session will provide practical strategies to optimize team-based care in your setting.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to: Differentiate between multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and interprofessional teams. Assess one’s interprofessional identity using the Extended Professional Identity Scale (EPIS) and reflect on strategies to strengthen interprofessional collaboration. Explore the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) competencies and provide examples of how they are integrated into practice.
