Henry Ford Hospital

Kristina (Krissy) Stein is a staff physical therapist and the acute care residency coordinator at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Krissy has over 20 years of experience in acute care, working with a diverse caseload, primarily in the intensive care units. She has been an ICU validator for 16 years, mentoring staff and working with others to revise clinical competencies and vented and non-vented ICU training. As coordinator of the acute care residency, she is responsible for program curriculum, mentor development, resident assessment, and program compliance. Krissy has a long-standing commitment to clinical education, having served as SCCE for over 16 years, as chair of the Henry Ford Health System Student Committee, and as an active member of the Detroit Area Clinical Educators Forum. She has presented locally and nationally on clinical education and quality acute care services. Krissy has been serving on the leadership team of the newly formed Academy of Acute Care’s Residency & Fellowship SIG and was now serves on the nominating committee of the Academy of Education Residency & Fellowship SIG.

Charlene Nolen, PT, DPT, CWS

Charlene Nolen, PT, DPT, CWS

University of Evansville

Dr. Nolen teaches cardiopulmonary, acute care, gross anatomy, and neurorehabilitation courses. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Physical Therapy degrees from the University of Evansville in 2004. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Montana in 2022. Her clinic time is spent in the acute care setting with exposure to multiple diagnoses with a focus on wound care and the intensive care units. She received her Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) designation in 2013 through the American Board of Wound Management. She served as adjunct faculty for the UE Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2014 and began as a full time assist professor in Fall 2021. She is the program director and a clinical mentor for the Progressive Health of Indiana and the University of Evansville Acute Care Residency which is accredited by the ABPTRFE. Her research interests include many topics in acute care and the prevention/management of venous disease in at-risk individuals.

Houston Methodist Hospital - Texas Medical Center

Nadeen Moghrabi MBA, MS CCC-SLP, is the Clinical Development Coordinator and Physical Therapy Residency and Fellow Program Director at Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. She has been a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist for the past ten years working in a variety of medical settings that included critical care, acute care, inpatient rehab, and hospital SNF. After receiving her master’s in business administration, she began working as the Clinical Development Coordinator for the Rehabilitation Services Department at Houston Methodist, and soon after that also became the Program Director for the hospital’s physical therapy acute care residency and critical care fellowship. Ms. Moghrabi was the president of the Houston Association for Communication Disorders for 7 years; HACD was a regional association for speech-language pathologists and audiologists that provides continuing education, networking, and scholarships. She has given lectures at local and state levels and is passionate about teaching and mentoring. Her areas of interest include adult learning, diversity/equity/inclusion, aphasia, and leadership development.
